Masonic & Fraternal History
Brother Brian Dawsey was raised as a Master Mason on October 18, 2008 through Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 15. He has faithfully served in several capacities within the lodge, including Recorder, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, Senior Warden, and Worshipful Master (2015–2016). At the district level, he served as Associate Patron (2018–2020), District Worthy Patron (2020–2022), and Assistant District Deputy (2019–2023). He describes his service as Assistant Deputy and Patron as one of the most rewarding experiences of his Masonic journey, providing opportunities to represent the District and connect with brothers and sisters across the city and state. Brother Dawsey is inspired by a desire to bring his connections and talents to help move the Order and the District forward. His commitment to service is rooted in his passion for leadership, education, and community empowerment.

Community & Church Involvement
Brother Dawsey is an active member of Cornwall Street Church of God, where he serves as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. On the state level, he is the Vice President of the Youth Inspirational Fellowship. He is also deeply involved in community service, holding membership in several impactful organizations, including the 100 Black Men of Savannah, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity – Tau Beta Sigma Chapter, the NAACP Educational Committee, Savannah Rotary South, and the Savannah Chapter of the Savannah State University National Alumni Association. He mentors young men throughout Savannah and on the campus of Savannah State University, using his platform to promote education, personal growth, and leadership.
Personal Background
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Brother Dawsey is a graduate of A. E. Beach High School, Class of 1997. He earned his Bachelor in General Studies (2003) and Master of Education (2005) from Armstrong Atlantic State University. He went on to receive a Master of Public Administration degree from Savannah State University in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education at the University of Georgia, with an anticipated completion in 2027. Professionally, he serves as the Director of Admissions at Savannah State University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and engaging in mentorship and outreach.
